Ingredients
A Quaker Oats recipe from a viewer named Susan
Coffee cake:
2 cups baking mix (like Bisquick)
2/3 cup milk
½ cup Quaker Oats (Quick or Old Fashioned)
1 egg
2 TBSP brown sugar, packed
½ tsp cinnamon
Topping:
2/3 cup Quaker Oats (Quick or Old Fashioned)
2/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
½ cup chopped nuts (I like walnuts best for this)
¼ cup butter, melted
½ tsp cinnamon
Directions
For coffee cake, combine all ingredients and mix just until dry ingredients are moistened. For topping, combine all ingredients and mix well. Spread half the batter into a greased 8 inch square pan. Sprinkle half of topping over batter. Top with remaining batter and topping. Bake in a preheated 375 deg oven about 35 to 40 minutes or until it tests done. Serve warm.
