Ingredients

1 pkg quick acting yeast
1 cup creamed small curd cottage cheese, heated
2 TBSP sugar
1 TBSP dry minced onion
1 TBSP butter
2 tsp dill seed
1 tsp salt
½ tsp soda
1 egg, unbeaten
2 ¼ to 2 ½ cups all purpose flour

Directions

Mix 2 ¼ cups flour with sugar, onion, seed, salt, soda and yeast. Heat cottage cheese and butter to about 120 deg. Stir into dry mixture along with egg. Beat well and add additional flour if necessary to make a stiff dough. Turn into an 8 inch well greased 2 quart casserole. Smooth top. Cover and allow to rise until doubled in bulk. Bake in a 350 deg oven about 40 to 50 minutes or until golden brown. You may brush with melted butter and sprinkle with salt.
