Peach Custard Pie Tuesday, July 10, 2012


1 9 inch deep dish frozen pie shell
¾ cup buttermilk
¾ cup sugar
2 eggs
¼ cup plain flour
1/8 tsp salt
4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced thin


In a small bowl, combine buttermilk, sugar, eggs, flour and salt. Mix thoroughly. Place sliced peaches into unbaked pie shell. Pour buttermilk evenly over peaches. Bake at 400 deg about 40 minutes or until just set. Cover edges of pie if it is browning too quickly. Cool before serving.
