Strawberry and Banana Cream Pie Thursday, November 8, 2012
1 regular box fat free sugar free instant vanilla pudding mix
1 cup milk
1 cup reduced fat sour cream
2 to 3 cups sliced strawberries
1 to 1 ½ cups sliced bananas
1 9” pie shell, baked
Prepare the pudding using milk and sour cream. Spread a thick, even layer of sliced strawberries in the bottom of the pie shell. Spread half of the pudding over strawberries. Spread a single layer of sliced bananas over the pudding. Cover with the remaining pudding. Cover with whipped topping. Garnish the top with strawberries (I like to use halves for this). Chill before serving.
Note: more than half the calories in this pie come from the pie shell. If you want to reduce those calories, simply prepare this in a dish with straight sides leaving out the shell altogether.
