Many times here on NewsFirst we will report on various phone or internet scams, people looking for a way to take advantage of others.
Good Question: Brandon in Lexington: Who do you call if you suspect a phone scam?
Its important to know you can absolutely report a potential phone scam.
The first step is to call the Better Business Bureau.
Chances are the BBB may have already heard about the scam and can tell you more about.
If they haven't heard about the scam they can then notify the public of it.
The BBB says if you are on the No Call List and you still receive these calls you should notify the Federal Trade Commission.
If you go to www.donotcall.gov you can submit a complaint to the FTC about the call you received.
If you are not on the Do Not Call list the BBB certainly encourages you to sign up for it.
