What are the prime months for severe weather in Kentucky?

As we all know, severe weather can strike in an instant in Kentucky. Just recently Madison County was hit with a devastating EF3 tornado. Two people were killed and hundreds of homes damaged, all examples of why it's important to always be prepared for severe weather.

Our Chief Meteorologist TG Shuck says the prime months for severe weather are March, April, May and into early June. March is severe weather awareness month. Remember it's also a good idea to have a NOA weather radio; you can pick one up at a discounted price at any Kroger in central and southern Kentucky.
