Do flu vaccines contain Mercury?

In talking with the Fayette County Health Department that is true, some
vaccines do contain mercury. That should not keep you from getting a flu
shot. Here's what you need to do: when you go for your flu shot you need
to ask for the preservative free version. Preservative free shots are
used for children. Of course they are in high demand, so the health
department recommends you call your healthcare provider ahead to request
one that is preservative free.

Again, health officials say concern over mercury should not keep you
from getting a shot. They say with so many people sick it is vital that
you take care of yourself. Just ask for a preservative free shot if you
are concerned.
