Karen in Nicholasville writes: Why were all the trees along Man O War near the airport cut down?
A forester for the city of Lexington says 45 pin oaks along that stretch of road were cut down recently.

John in Corbin writes: Why are there two black fences around most of the horse farms in Lexington?
The answer has to do with safety.
The Director of Equine Operations at the Kentucky Horse Park says that for farms that have stallions it keeps them from fighting over the fence.
The other reason, for farms located on a road front, the fences add a double layer of protection.
If a car were to go through the fence it would have to hit two fences before hitting the field, ensuring a little extra safety for the horses.
