Here in Lexington there is a lot of road construction going on.
It seems every where you turn there are orange barrels to slow you down.
Good Question: Shannon in Lexington writes: What is the Man O War, Liberty/Todds Road intersection going to look like?
Construction in a heavily traveled area of Fayette County may have you seeing red on your commute, but when completed traffic officials say the intersection at Todds and Man O War will be much more efficient.
It may be hard to picture right now, but if you are wondering what all of the mess will turn into, just drive a couple of lights down the road to Man O War and Richmond Road.
Traffic engineers tell me the work being done on Man O War at Todds will look like the intersection at Richmond Road. minus the triple turn lanes.
I'm told by engineers it will be big.
So here is what drivers can expect back at Man O War and Todds, the $3M dollar project will add dual turn lanes.
There will also be two through lanes from Liberty across the intersection to Todds.
While it may slow you down now, in the near future it may have you getting through this intersection faster.
The project also includes work to the sidewalks, curbs, and the addition of bike lanes.
