Online shoppers are expected to spend more this holiday season.
In fact, a recent survey of consumers found that 106 million Americans were planning to shop online on Cyber Monday.
Good Question: How do I find the best deals online?
Millions of people spent the weekend getting an early jump on their Christmas shopping, scouring stores looking for great deals to save them some money.
Monday many of those same people jumped online to take advantage of savings in the cyber world.
it's a day where retailers use their websites to offer deep discounts.
Experts say stretching the savings is easy if you know where to look.
"My number one rule of shopping during the holiday season is to always search for the coupon code before you make a purchase," said "Dianna Baros, editor of TheBudgetBabe.com
Baros is known as the Budget Babe, she recommends the website www.retailmenot.com.
It lists many of your favorite stores and their promo codes.
Sometimes it's a percentage off sometimes free shipping!
"Stores like VictoriaSecret.com let you stack up to three promo codes and they'll just have three spots where you just plug that right in," said Baros.
To make sure you aren't the victim of a Grinch follow these simple rules:
-Make sure the website you are on is secure
-Never use your debit card (using a credit card makes it easier to dispute a charge)
-Look for familiar retailers
Another place to find savings, Facebook and Twitter, retailers are spreading the word about savings to loyal fans.
In the end its about getting the most bang for your buck.
"Try to get free shipping and to try get that extra discount and even a free gift if possible," said Baros.
To make sure the site you are using is secure, look for a padlock symbol near the URL address, that lets you know its safe.
