Good Question: What is MoveOn.org?

Monday night's scuffle caught on tape before the start of the final senate debate made national headlines all day Tuesday, but it seems to be connected to a grassroots organization many know nothing about.

Good Question: What is MoveOn.org?

The 23 year old woman seen in video being taken to the ground by Rand Paul supporters says she is an activist with the organization MoveOn.org.

A check on line of the grassroots movement says its mission is to bring real Americans back into the political process.

The organization claims to have five million members nationwide from stay at home moms to business leaders.

MoveOn.org was started in 1998, it now has two areas of focus.

MoveOn Civic Action, a non profit focused on the education and advocacy of national issues.

Then there's MoveOn Political Action that claims to mobilize members in the political process and to get candidates elected.

Last night Lauren Valle says she was trying to give Rand Paul an employee of the month award for the fictitious company Republicorp.

MoveOn's website has several photos of supporters holding signs about Republicorp, a fictitious merger they came up with representing the Republican party and what they see as giant corporate control.

The movement looks to recruit members, even giving you a step by step how to on things like getting media attention.

Both candidates have denounced last night's actions.
