Good Question: What is the largest winning Powerball ticket ever sold in Kentucky

News that someone in Georgetown won a million dollars in Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing has all of us dreaming of hitting it big!

It also has many of you wandering about other jackpots in Kentucky.

Good Question-Ronnie in McKee: What is the largest winning Powerball ticket ever sold in Kentucky.

It seems when it comes to winning the lottery, Georgetown is a pretty lucky spot.

A customer at the Apple Market Shell Station matched all of the numbers in Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing except the Mega ball.

Hitting that on the ticket won them $250,000, but because they also had a Megaplier that boosted their winnings to a million bucks!

"Not a lot of people play the Megaplier, probably 50 to 60 tickets," said store manager Michael Perkins.

While Perkins and his store are relishing in the publicity, his neighbor across the street the Pro Travel Marathon station already boasts a winning record.

In December of 2009 Rob and Tuesday Anderson of Georgetown came forward to claim the state's largest ever Powerball jackpot of $128.6 million.

A goof by a clerk led to a three dollar quick pick ticket.

Anderson wanted three separate tickets, but instead it ended up on one and the rest is history with millions in the bank.

For Powerball jackpots, Indiana and Missouri are the two winningest states.
