It seems now a days there is an App for just about everything.
Now a new piece of technology could keep your kids safe this Halloween.
Good Question: How can a phone app keep my children safe, trick or treating?
Halloween can be scary for parents, especially if there are sex offenders living on their street.
A California company has created a new smart phone app that allows parents to keep tabs on their children, while they're out collecting all those treats.
The company says the app, called Trick or Tracker, installs easily on both the parents and the child's phone.
Parents we talked with say it's a great idea.
" I think it would be great to use at other times like when we go to football games, she likes to run around with her friends, so if you need to know where she's at," said Rebecca Horn, a parent.
Even the little ghost and goblins like it.
"I think its very convenient. I think that during trick or treat holidays, things can get hectic and rough, so it's a good way to know where your children are," said Kiara Collins.
Trick or Tracker is available in English or Spanish, and parents can program their phones to receive messages at regular times, revealing exactly where their child is.
While one dad says he likes it, he also says nothing is safer than actually being with your child while they're out trick or treating.
"Even with a GPS, there is still that chance that you have psychos out during trick or treat time," said Shawn Phillips, a parent.
The Trick or Tracker app is free of charge for Halloween.
It expires afterward and can then be purchased for $9.99 for full lifetime coverage of family members.
