The trial of a central Kentucky doctor accused of murdering his wife is set to begin next week.
Thursday, he was back in court for another hearing.
Dr. Steven Hall is accused of killing his wife, Isabel, with a pontoon boat on Lake Herrington in 2009.
The Harrodsburg doctor has maintained his wife's death was an accident.
The defense filed two motions during Thursday morning's hearing. Hall's attorney wants the prosecution to decide whether they would prosecute him for wanton or intentional murder.
The judge did rule the prosecution could use the issue of another woman as a possible motive for the crime.
As of right now, the judge said Thursday Hall's trial will stay in Boyle County.
However, it's still possible a change of venue could be granted before the trial begins.
