Lexington city officials are working to curb out of control partying near UK's campus. Many residents say wild parties are a growing problem along streets heavily populated by students and the situation gets out of hand following UK games.

Friday, officers with Lexington and UK police, and city code enforcement went door to door to hand out flyers with the laws and penalties. More than 1,000 residents along Limestone and surrounding streets were warned they could get fined or arrested for violating the policies.

The initiative is all part of Mayor Newberry's UK Task Force.
