A week ago two people dressed as ninjas, equipped with swords and knifes, walked into a gas station outside Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and stole cash, lottery tickets, and cigarettes.
Then this week in Shelbyville Kentucky a car broke down along interstate 64 and a desperate woman made a shocking confession to police.
19 year-old Vanessa Waisbrot told police that the two people she was traveling with were the people dressed as ninjas who robbed the gas station.
She says 20 year-old James Riley and his 17 year-old girlfriend were the ones responsible. James Riley told us in a jail house interview that he knew nothing of the robbery and says that Vanessa Wasibrot is the one who actually robbed the gas station in Pennsylvania.
GIBSONIA, Pa. (AP) - Authoritites say three people suspected in
a ninja-style robbery of an Allegheny County gas station have been arrested in Kentucky.
The district attorney's office is trying to extradite 18-year-old Vanessa Waisbrot-Yobst, 20-year-old James Riley and a 17-year-old girl from Shelbyville, Ky., where they were arrested Thursday.
Security videos shows what appears to be two women dressed in black ninja gear robbing a Sunoco station on Route 8 in Richland Township in Pittsburgh's North Hills suburbs on Sept. 22. Police say the suspects are also from the North Hills.
Police say the robbers used a samurai sword and a dagger during the robbery and stole money, cigarettes and lottery tickets.
