Police say the incident happened last night in the Gilmore community of Wolfe County near Campton.
A KSP Trooper responded to a reported shooting incident at 510 Straight Creek Road in Gillmore around 9:20 p.m. and found Aaron Whisman suffering from a gunshot wound to the back.
