Blood drive to honor fallen police officer

You can help police and firefighters honor a fallen officer just by rolling up your sleeves.

Lexington Police and Lexington firefighters have scheduled their annual blood drive for September 7-9 at the Kentucky Blood Center.

This year, it will honor Lexington Police Officer Bryan Durman, who was killed in the line of duty back in April.

Normally, the blood drive is a competition between police and firefighters. However, this year, the entire community has been invited to take part.
