A student makes an alarming discovery while riding the bus to school.

The bus was traveling along Highway 3094 in Laurel County, when a high school student noticed someone lying along the side of the road.

The coroner says 42-year-old Herschel Woods probably crashed sometime overnight, but wasn't found until four hours later.

Police say Woods was heading eastbound on KY 3094 when his motorcycle went out of control and struck a sign.

Woods, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle and was discovered nearly 20 feet away, down an embankment.

The exact cause of the crash in still under investigation.
