CINCINNATI (AP) - A $4,000 acoustic guitar belonging to the rock
band The Guess Who was stolen at a suburban Cincinnati festival
over the weekend.
The band from Canada known for hits such as "These Eyes" and
"American Woman" in the 1960s and 1970s had performed at the
Taste of Blue Ash food and entertainment event when the theft
occurred. Police say the guitar was taken from the backstage area
late Saturday night after the band's performance.
Police say a band assistant put a Gibson model EC30 acoustic
guitar into a case and left it unattended. They say the
sunburst-color guitar was gone when the assistant returned minutes
later.
