We're learning new details about a the murder of a Kentucky man in Flordia. A woman walking her dog found the body of 39-year-old Jamin Coyle in an abandoned lot in Leesburg, Florida Wednesday afternoon. The Lancaster, Kentucky man was in Florida visiting family.
Leesburg Police say Coyle's SUV was found, abandoned, less than a mile from his body. The Orlando newspaper reports evidence was recovered inside the vehicle but the paper says police won't comment on what that evidence is. The Lake County Medical Examiner's Office tells 27 NEWSFIRST an autopsy on Coyle was conducted Thursday but they will not comment on the results or cause of death. The Orlando Sentinel also reports Florida authorities have also now contacted Kentucky law enforcement for help in the murder investigaiton.
Family friends say Coyle, who grew up in Garrard County, recently moved to Atlanta to work for Delta. He had been working for the airline at Blue Grass Airport in Lexington. We're told funeral arrangements for Coyle are now being handled by the Spurlin Funeral Home in Lancaster.
Coyle's family spoke to 27 NEWSFIRST Friday. They says it's been difficult being hundreds of miles from where this crime happened.
"I thought about what he went through. Daddy's are supposed to protect their children, but I could be there," says Joe Coyle, Jamin Coyle's father.
