Woman robbed at gunpoint at her home
She had no idea a knock at the door would turn her home into a crime scene.
A woman was robbed at gunpoint Monday morning at her Lincoln County home.
It happened around 1 a.m. at a home on Shake Rag Road, near Waynesburg.
Police say the victim answered her door, and four people forced their way inside.
Police say the suspects are three men and one woman.
The victim reportedly told police a shotgun was held on her while the female suspect searched the home and ended up taking a purse with a checkbook and other belongings.
Police say they are looking into the possibility that the victim was also the target of another crime several weeks ago.
"We're investigating. She had a shotgun taken a couple of weeks ago," Lincoln County Sheriff Curt Folger said. "Not for sure, we're looking at that also possibly being part of this crime."
Police say all four intruders were wearing black ski masks and they were seen leaving in a Ford Mustang, possibly a model between 1995 and 2000, with a UK sticker in the back window.
Police say the victim, who was not hurt, possibly knew her intruders. The sheriff tells 27 NEWSFIRST that he has a few people of interest he'd like to talk to.
