Lexington's only known serial killer went before a judge today ready to admit what police have accused him of doing.
Robert Smallwood was eligible for the death penalty if a jury convicted him on a slew of charges, including two counts of rape and three counts of murder.
Police say the 33-year-old killed three different women from 1999 through 2006.
Today, Smallwood plead guilty to his crimes and a judge sentenced him to life without the possibility of parole.
