Armed Robber Gets Away With Cash, Pop Tart

Police in Madison County track down a man who got away with cash and a snack from a Richmond gas station.

Richmond police say the man held up Hardy's BP Station on Four Mile Avenue at around nine, Thursday night.

Police say the suspect walked into the store, showed a gun to the clerk and demanded money. Police say the suspect left the store on foot with cash and a Pop Tart.

Police searched for the robber using a K-9 unit, but that attempt was not successful

Police later learned the identity of the suspect. They arrested Darrell Kent Allen at his home on Moberly Avenue in Richmond.

Police say they found the gun, the cash and the Pop Tart in his home.

Allen is being held in the Madison County Detention Center.
