get over it. black people are always making fun of white people and we don't get offended over it. if black people really didn't want to be called (edited) and stuff of the sort they would stop calling themeselves that in rap videos and calling each other that. u dn't see us getting upset because there is a united negro fund and not united caucasian fund for college.

You people will never understand. It's not all about "getting over it". Of course not everyone is going to think alike but when I read some of your posts, I just sit back with astomach ache. You all talk about getting over it...Until you or any of your family members have been denied, directed out of, or anything because the color of your skin, you will never understand the magnitude of a cartoon like this. 3 brothas auctioning off a 1/2 naked white dude isn't controversial because "IT'S NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE". But this image has happened before plenty of times. yes it was in the past but it has happened...So sorry for being a "little" concerned about something like this. It's called being cautious because there are still people out there like this or at least still believe this type of crap should still exist...some are obviously on this blog!!! Oh yeah, let me know when you all are as offended by a word like cracker I guarantee you that it doesn't have the same impact as the N word...

Most of you miss the point. No one is challenging anyones freedom to speak. To say that something is inappropriate, dehumanizing, hateful, and unnecessary is not the same as saying it should be illegal. No one is saying the cartoonist should go to jail. People are just pointing out that it causes more bad than good and that civilized educated individuals can find better more effective ways to communicate a point.
