Eight-Year-Old Girl Killed In I-65 Accident

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (AP) - An 8-year-old girl from Louisville was killed Saturday when the car she was riding in overturned after blowing a tire on southbound Interstate 65, police said.

Two adults and two children were also injured when the accident occurred just after noon. Police said Katherine Wilson, 36, of Louisville was driving the car when a tire blew out. Wilson overcorrected, forcing the vehicle to overturn several times.

The 8-year-old girl, whose name was not released, was pronounced
dead at the scene.

Katherine Wilson, Janie Wilson, 60, and a 12-year-old girl sustained minor injuries. A 13-year-old girl was airlifted to Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville.
