Scam Alert: Man Uses Mary Kay Business As Front

Krista Sonka is a stay at home mom, but uses Mary Kay as a side business.

She claims she nearly fell for an international scam by a man who used her business as a front.

The scammer went by the name of Carlos Deby, and was calling from a California area code, but Deby said he was in Wisconsin.

Deby ordered dozens of bottles of perfume, then asked Sonka to mail them to Gauna.

Later, he contacted Sonka through the internet, asking her to also ship cell phones to the same overseas address.

Sonka refused, and contacted police.

The suspect is using the internet to find other potential victims.

The Better Business Bureau is also looking into the case.
