Our focus now turns to the potential of record lows tonight. Many areas may wake up to thermometer readings below zero.
More than 30 Jessamine County middle and high schoolers had to take two buses today to get to school, after the first bus they boarded this morning got into an accident.
Just after 8 this morning the Jessamine County Sheriff's Office says a school bus heading into Nicholasville on Union Mill Road was sideswiped by a pickup leaving town.
The driver told police the glare from the sun made it hard to see as he went around the curve.
Both drivers were fine but one of students on board was taken to the hospital just to be checked out.
Another bus was brought out and the remaining students were transported to school.
The call originally went out as a hit-and-run, but police say the driver of the truck had actually pulled over just down the road and called 911 to report the accident.
The sheriff's office says they don't suspect any drugs or alcohol but the driver of that pickup was arrested because of an outstanding warrant.
