Heavy snow continues to increase across the region. Snowfall rates of 1-2 inches per hour are likely this evening and tonight. More than a foot of snow may fall by Thursday morning.
Kentucky State Police are still waiting for autopsy results in the death of a former county attorney, but they have already ruled some things out.
On Friday, someone driving by found 56-year-old David Kersey, the former Whitley County Attorney, in his truck, which had crashed in a ditch along Highway 770 in Laurel County.
Police say Kersey had a gunshot wound to his abdominal area. He later died at a hospital.
Police now say they have ruled out an accidental death in this investigation, and they say Kersey's death was either a homicide or a suicide.
