Several businesses and homes had to be evacuated after a gas leak in downtown Lexington.
Crews were called to North Broadway and Seventh Street just before 10:30 tonight. Columbia Gas crews are working the leak in a storm sewer. The Indy's restaurant was forced to shutdown. Columbia Gas thinks the problem is a transition line, where the line goes from 6 inches to 4 inches.
We're told everyone who had to be evacuated has been allowed to return home.
Crews will continue making repairs throughout the day Tuesday, but traffic is moving along North Broadway.
