UK Issues Safety Advisory After Assault

Video will be available shortly

UK students are asked to be on alert after a female student says is assaulted.

It happened along Huguelet drive. The student says she was sprayed in the face with what is believed to be pepper spray and then forced to the ground. The victim suffered injuries to the face. Police say they have a limited description of the suspect.

UK officials say students should always carry a cell phone to use in an emergency when walking on campus. They say female students shouldn't walk alone on campus and should stay away from areas that aren't well lit.

UK offers safety escorts for students walking on campus at night, just call 323-FREE.
