FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) - Members of the Second Brigade from Fort Campbell's 101st Airborne Division are preparing to leave the post this week to head to Iraq.

Members of the Brigade Combat Team have cased their unit colors in preparation for their deployment. The First and Third Brigades are already training in Kuwait.

Lieutenant Colonel Bill Crawling is commander of the 526th Support Battalion within the brigade. He says his unit was fortunate to return from the last two rotations with no fatalities, although some soldiers were injured.

Nearly seven thousand soldiers have already deployed, with more than ten thousand expected to take over units already there.

After the first of the year, about five thousand division soldiers will deploy to Afghanistan.
