Search underway for runaway teen mothers

NICHOLASVILLE, KY -- Authorities are seeking help in finding two juvenile females -- one pregant and the other with an infant daughter -- who ran away from a facility for unwed mothers yesterday in Jessamine County.

Jessamine County Sheriff's Deputy John R. Sallee said 16-year old Stephanie Lynn Doughton, who is pregnant, and 14-year old Chelsea K. Hawkins, with her 3-month old daughter, disappeared about 7 a.m. Friday from "All God's Children" in Nicholasville.

The facility is for young females who have or are expecting children, located in a historic mansion on U.S. 27 in Jessamine County.

Doughton is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, 135 pounds with fair skin and a thin build. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue sweatshirt with white lettering. She has a butterfly tattoo on her lower back.

Sheriff's deputies say Hawkins is 5 feet 3 inches tall, 150 pounds with fair skin and a medium build. She was last scene wearing blue jeans, an unknown type of blouse and pink and white shoes. Officials say the two may have a black diaper bag with them.

Authorities say Hawkins' daughter, Madison Barnhart, was last seen wrapped in a pink blanket.

The Jessamine County Sheriff's Department is asking anyone with information about the case to call them at (859) 885-4139.
