State Police Seeking Minimum Security Prison Escapees

FRANKFORT, KY -- Kentucky State Police are seeking two escapees from the minimum security Frankfort Career Development Center.

The FCDC is located on Coffee Tree Road next to the Frankfort Regional Detention Center, just off the east-west connector that runs through the south side of the city from U. S. 60 on the east to U. S. 127 on the west, a few miles from Interstate 64.

A KSP news release says the pair went missing around 10 p.m. Saturday night. The two have been identified as 23-year old John Casey and 21 year old Joey Dewayne Collins.

There was no information on their hometowns, nor any information on their offenses. A source said they were believed to be heading to Pikeville.

The KSP news release describes Casey as a white male, a little over 6 feet tall, weighs 185 pounds, has brown hair, blue eyes and has tatoos of the word "love" on his right fingers and "mom and dad" on his left arm. Police say Collins also is a white male, is about 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs bout 170 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes, and has a tattoo of an eight ball on his left forearm.

An investigation is ongoing. The KSP has been broadcasting descriptions of the pair to their units statewide. Anyone with information should contact KSP Trooper Bernis Napier through the Frankfort KSP Post #12 - 1-502-227-2221.
