Man Crossing Street In Wheelchair Hit And Killed; Driver Charged With Murder

A late-night accident Wednesday killed a man in Boyd County as he was crossing the street in his motorized wheelchair.

It happened on 6th Street near Harrison in Ashland.

Police say Stephen Mills, 37, was crossing the street in his wheelchair when he was hit.

Police say the driver didn't stop.

Mills was taken to King's Daughter's Medical Center in Ashland where he died.

Police arrested Stacie Boyd of Flatwoods.

She's charged with murder and driving under the influence.
