Two women are dead after a violent crash this morning on Interstate 75.
Police say traffic was backed up at the Newtown Pike exit ramp just before 8 this morning.
The driver of a Neon lost control, sliding sideways and crashing into a tractor trailer.
Two people inside the car, 72-year old Dorothy Castle and 52-year old Linda Melius, were taken to UK Hospital, where they later died.
Both victims were from Louisville.
