Alcohol Plays Role In Deadly ATV Crash

An all-terrain vehicle crash last night in eastern Kentucky took the life of a Lawrenceburg, Indiana man and left his wife injured.

Wolfe County Coroner Frank Porter says 39-year-old Rion Best died at the scene when his ATV crashed into a tree on Little Bloody Creek Road. His wife, 38-year-old Lisa Best was a passenger on the vehicle. She's being treated at the UK Medical Center and is reported "stable."

State police say alcohol is believed to have played a role in the crash. Helmets were not being used.

The site of the crash was near the Wolfe-Breathitt County line. Campton is 54 miles east-southeast of Lexington.
