New information in the death of a 10-year-old Lexington girl.
The coroner now says Ivy Freeman died from asphyxiation due to hanging.
Police are investigating the death as an accident.
Freeman died Wednesday at the UK hospital, two days after she was found unconscious in the family's backyard on Summerfield drive.
It's believed the accident involved a swing or rope on her play set.
Freeman was a fifth grader at Meadowthorpe Elementary. Grief counselors will be on hand when students return from fall break on Monday.
