BEALS, Ky. (AP) - A western Kentucky man has been charged with two counts of first-degree manslaughter after allegedly shooting two men.
Police say 54-year-old Dwight Wildman shot John Goldsberry and Ernie Dillard, both of nearby community of Reed, late Thursday when the two men tried to enter his home.
Police told the Gleaner newspaper in Henderson that Goldsberry and Wildman had been feuding for years. Police said Goldsberry and Dillard went to Wildman's home to confront him.
Witnesses told police that Goldsberry entered the home uninvited and was shot in the neck and throat by a hunting rifle. Dillard was shot in the chest while on the front porch.
Wildman was taken into custody and was being held at the Henderson County Detention Center without bond.
