Juvenile Assaulted At Danville Taco Bell

DANVILLE, KY -- Danville Police have arrested and jailed a suspect and are investigating an assault that injured a local juvenile, beaten with a police-style baton.

Police responded to a call that a fight was in progress at a local Taco Bell. When they arrived they found the subject outside the fast food restaurant in the parking lot bleeding from the nose and his right eye.

Witnesses told police several suspects pulled up in a silver Pontiac Grand AM. Reportedly, a passenger exited the vehicle and struck the victim with "some type of blunt instrument."

Police say the alleged assailant, Christopher Richardson, then fled the scene. Police report they later located the suspect vehicle behind a church on Perryville Road. Police say during interrogation Richardson confessed to the assault on the juvenile. They say the weapon was a metal police style baton that is expandable.

Police charged Richardson with assault and wanton endangermen. He was incarcerated in the Boyle County Detention Center. The victim was flown to U. K. Hospital for treatmwent of his injuries.

Several other subjects in the vehicle were arrested on unrelated charges and outstanding warrants.
