A Fayette County corrections officer is charged with official misconduct after investigators say he took money from an inmate at the Fayette County Detention Center.
Shannon Raglin, 25, was taken into custody Tuesday evening following a joint investigation by the Division of Police and Division of Community Corrections.
The investigation began after an inmate, Marlow Valentine, accused Raglin of taking more than $300 from him.
Valentine is accused in a 2006 murder and has been in an out of jail over the past year.
Raglin has since bonded out of jail.
