In Franklin County, a man accused of stealing copper from an electrical substation admits to the crime
Earl Byrd, Jr. pleaded guilty to an amended charge of attempted receiving stolen property.
He was sentenced to a month in jail and ordered to pay more than $500 in fines.
The other suspect in the case, Aaron Michael Byrd, didn't show up for court, so the judge issued a bench warrant.
