For the second time in two months, thieves target a Lexington job site.
Police say sometime late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, someone stole more than $28,000 worth of items.
It happened at a school that is under construction off Starshoot Parkway.
Police say the thieves broke into a trailer and stole copper, copper fittings and tools. It appears they loaded the loot into a four wheel drive vehicle and then drove away from the muddy site.
A similar theft just two months ago, coupled with this latest crime has put construction crews behind by about a month.
We'll have more on the muddy copper theft coming up on 27 NEWSFIRST at 5:30.
