Police and fire officials are calling an overnight fire suspicious.

The fire occurred on Tarton Drive in Lexington.

Lexington firefighters responded to the house fire around 2 this morning.

A neighbor, Elizabeth Williams, alerted them after hearing a loud crash and seeing flames in the living room window of the house across the street.

Six people were asleep in the house at the time. All got out without serious injury.

One woman was taken to the hospital for minor injuries and was later released. Another man was treated on the scene for smoke inhalation.

Two bricks were said to have been thrown through the window, though not much other damage to the house was noted.

Officials say that they feel the house has been targeted but are unclear why.

Police and fire officials say they've turned over the investigation to the to the arson team because of suspicious circumstances.
