Experts Identify Skeletal Remains Found By Highway

Video will be available shortly

Police have identified the human remains found earlier this week along the Bluegrass Parkway in Mercer County.

The Anderson County coroner says the skeletal remains are that of 25-year-old Amanda Lynn Hughes who was from Nicholasville.

The positive identification was made using dental records at the State Medical Examiner's Office.

Her body was found by a hunter on Wednesday morning near the Anderson County line. Investigators say based on some wounds to the body, Hughes was a murder victim.

Hughes has been missing since February of 2006.
