Police in Jessamine County are investigating after a newborn baby was taken to the hospital with some serious injuries.
Nicholasville police say the 11-week-old child was taken to the hospital was trouble breathing.
Police are now interviewing people who have had contact with the baby in the past few weeks. The child's parents have denied hurting their infant, but police are looking into their backgrounds to see if they have a history of abuse.
Preston Soper is listed in serious condition at Kentucky Children's Hospital.
