Appeals Court Dismisses Lawsuit Against Governor Patton

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Former Governor Paul Patton's ex-mistress has lost again in court.

A three-judge panel of the Kentucky Court of Appeals upheld a lower court's ruling to dismiss Tina Conner's lawsuit against Patton and the state.

Conner had sued him and the state, claiming sexual harassment, emotional distress and defamation.

She revealed publicly in 2002 that she and the governor had a two-year affair.

Conner was claiming that Patton caused state regulators to ruin her nursing home business in retaliation for her ending their affair.

She eventually lost the nursing home in bankruptcy proceedings.
