DANVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Centre College may find out next month if it has a spot in the 2008 presidential debates.
The tiny school in central Kentucky is one of 16 institutions and organizations bidding for one of three presidential and one vice presidential debates in 2008.
School officials say a decision could come in early November.
Centre hosted the 2000 Vice Presidential debate between Dick Cheney and Senator Joe Lieberman.
The college is competing with a long list of schools from around the country, including Washington University in St. Louis, a five-school coalition in New Orleans, Belmont University in Nashville, the University of Miami in Florida and Washington State University.
