BECKLEY, W.Va. (AP) - Appalachian Regional Healthcare management and striking nurses from West Virginia and Kentucky are scheduled to meet with a federal mediator tomorrow.

The West Virginia Nurses Association's Rue Hairston says the goal of the mediation session in Lexington, Kentucky is a resolution.

ARH officials say they've not received a counter offer from West Virginia and Kentucky nurses, who voted down the company's contract offer September 27th. Nurses then went on strike at nine ARH operations September 30th.

Nurses maintain the strike isn't over money. Rather, they say it's about mandatory overtime and patient care.
