A man found guilty earlier this year of murder in Mercer County has died in prison.
Now, an autopsy is underway to determine why.
53-year-old James Crews died in the Kentucky State Reformatory in LaGrange on Saturday.
The warden says there are no signs of foul play.
Crews was serving a 50 year prison sentence for the 2005 shooting and beating of tobacco warehouse night watchman Darrin Maddox.
